Cornice in ottone, con ampio bordo rotondo in vetro di Murano color acquamarina e bianco. Il bordo in vetro è la classica lavorazione degli anni '50. Il vetro è "torchon" trasparente con fili in diverse tonalità di verde e bianco. Perfetta per un ritratto, è sorretta sul retro da una pinna in ottone, dove è marchiata la firma. Misure ( 25 x 20 ) Inches ( 10 x 8 ).

Murano frame signed Seguso Vetri D'Arte Murano, in glass and brass, classic "Torchon" shape.
Brass frame, with large round edge in Murano glass colored aquamarine and white. The glass edge is the classic work of the 50s. The glass is transparent "torchon" with threads in different shades of green and white, as can be seen in the photos. Perfect portrait size, it is supported at the back by a brass fin, where the signature is marked. Filigrana glass is made of glass with milky threads. This type of glass can be divided into 3 other types. First, the retortoli filigrana, in which milky threads are intertwined. Secondly, reticello filigrana, whose threads form rhombuses and each of them has an air bubble trapped inside. Thirdly, there is filigrana a fili, in which the filaments are all straight and parallel or spiral. Filigrana dates back to the 16th century.
