Art Deco Walnut Root Goatskin and Brass Italian Sideboard, 1940
Beautiful bar cabinet in characteristic Italian style by Paolo Buffa, Vittorio Dassi and Osvaldo Borsani. This bar cabinet has a very luxurious look, due to the use of uncommon materials.
In Italian style, this sideboard is made of walnut root wood and embellished with goatskin inserts. It is composed of two side doors covered in goatskin and a central one in the center also covered in goatskin, with two drawers underneath. A lock at the top allows you to keep the doors closed, while a large central knob also embellishes the doors. Note the four corners of the sideboard, two high rounded ones, and two low square ones, give movement to the sideboard. The central door opens with a hinge and therefore allows the support of bottles and glasses, internally it has the three walls covered with small mirrors as was done in that period, and the top in black glass. The legs are the continuation of the sides of the sideboard, also veneered in walnut root wood. Misure ( 170 x 54, H 99 ). Inches ( 67 x 21, H 39 ).
