A classic of Murano glassmaking, the egg remains a status symbol in Murano. This particular one is a true work of art from the Murano furnaces; transparent in color with orange internal decorations. A highly complex process, performed only in the Murano furnaces. The Murano furnaces create an undeniably timeless design, simple yet elegant. A technique used to create solid and complex forms. It begins with large masses of incandescent glass that are shaped directly with tools and manipulated to achieve the desired shape, as in the case of sculptures with many spheres of varying sizes.
